One the great joys of my perch at the top of the Renaissance Center in Downtown Erie is perusing the entire Presque Isle peninsula on any day when it is not completely shrouded by clouds. Today is one of those days: not crisply clear, but clear enough to see plenty - including birds. Yes, some of them are in their proper “V” formation, on their way out of here already. But these birds have foresight. They do not want to be here facing the bitter Canadian winds whipping down the State Street corridor between mid-October and mid-April.
