“I’ve never missed a payment.” “I have a good credit score.” “I’ve had this credit card for 20 years.” These are just some of the things that people say in order to convince themselves that their credit card debt is not a problem. Even if these statements are true, you still could be in too deep.
As a tax paying citizen, you have specific rights that are protected under the “Taxpayer Bill of Rights.” Of course, you have obligations as well, such as filing and paying your taxes, but it is just as important to know your rights as it is to know your obligations.
